When Ashley came to Magdalene House, she had already completed three of the four exams required to earn her GED. The only obstacle remaining was the math exam, but after struggling with the test in the past, Ashley had stopped working toward her diploma.
After entering the Magdalene House program, Ashley was strongly encouraged to revisit her educational goals. With tutoring support from Executive Director Tavia Harrell, Ashley renewed her efforts and prepared for the exam, going on to pass the math portion on her very first attempt.
Today, Ashley is looking toward an exciting future. She is now in the enrollment process at SouthArkansas College and plans to begin classes this fall. Ashley is interested in pursuing a career in radiology and is excited about the opportunities ahead.
